To ensure everyone’s safety, we are continuing to operate under special COVID-19 protocol:
1. Limited entry and physical-distancing must be strictly adhered to.
Only 6 patrons can be inside at a time and a distance of at least 6 feet (2 arm lengths) must be kept between persons. Please sanitise your hands at the registration table.
2. Mask use
Health officials recommend that people wear masks when out in public as it limits the transmission of the virus. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping your fellow patrons and volunteers safe; please keep your mask covering your nose and mouth at all times while on Food Basket property.
3. Food will be distributed in prepackaged bags.
To safely and efficiently provide food to all patrons, we have suspended our market-style distribution. Prepackaged bags of food will be available for pick up, with limited choice-items. Please allow the volunteers to handle the choice-items (i.e. do not touch items during your selection process).
4. No washroom access
5. No lunch will be served.
Although we appreciate the community building aspect of our hot-meals program, given the current pandemic realities, the program has been suspended indefinitely.
6. Suspension of Emergency Pick-up privileges.
